Like the man said that tried to sell you the machine "it won't do it like it
is but we can make it work".
There are some Rube Goldberg type modifications of some bumper jacks that I
have seen guys use that would get you the clearance jacking on the eyelet on
the side of the strut.  However, being somewhat like my bird ( old & slow)
and not wanting to damage the bird by poking a hole in the wing when the
jack slipped.  I opted for what I considered a safer system.  There is
clearance to push the strut up slightly & easily remove the wheel without
major difficulty ( this is dependent on how far back you drill the holes for
the U-bolts ).  This system may not be "ideal" for an aircraft with wheel
pants.
