I can offer partial help. My coupe came with new Airtex side panels, but I had to remove them when putting in new window channels. Mine were simply contact cemented to the metal panel in spots. You can see that the seat bottom and back will hold the new material tight against the side at that point. I put some contact cement on the surface between the window and the panel as well as on the upholstery top. I then folded it over the bead and it stuck there. I sure would not consider hiring someone to do it, seemed real easy to me. I think you can see some of my workings on Hartmuts site, check out window welts.
