It can be done as I just did it a couple of months ago.  But you may have to
loosen the other header pipe so it can move a little. The difficulty is getting
the muffler exhaust stack through the bottom cowling hole and then onto the
header pipes. But with both loose it can be done. But it's also very easy to
remove the bottom cowling too (just drop it down).  Either way it's always a
pain to put on or off. Patience required!

Last week (just before 4 perfect flying days), the exhaust pipe broke off at
the muffler. I got a replacement muffler from Skyport today, but my mechanic &
I are trying to figure out how to get the new muffler in place. We pulled the
right hand exhaust stack to get the old muffler out. We're hoping we don't have
to drop the bottom cowling to get the new one in.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,
