"Trick" I learned from the carb article in Coupe Capers really worked with my
C-90:
Keep throttle closed while you prime (2 to 3 in my case depending on
temperature)
Then open throttle about 3/4 to 1" before engaging starter.
Before adopting this method I would sometimes have to crank through
several turns of the prop and
occasionally have to prime again and start over.
After adopting this method I don't think it ever took more than two
revolutions to start.
