I think there could be problems with twinkies as they are mostly
carbohydrates and/or hydrocarbons or both. If miscible in HTP, then a
combination of twinkies and HTP might make a reasonable high explosive.

An interesting question.

Twinkies would certainly be considered a storable propellant;
their shelf life is essentially infinite.

Handling is uncommonly safe; notably unlike most fuels,
Twinkies are almost completely nonflammable. In fact,
Twinkies appear to be very nearly fireproof; just try
burning one sometime.

I suspect the fuel value may actually be very low, and
ignition nearly impossible -- though I admit I've never
tried to ignite one soaked in LOX or HTP.

While an HTP/Twinkie hybrid may have an interesting
perversity to it, it lacks the nutritional value of
GOX/salami and the pun value of LOX/boiled bread rings.

I suggest that Twinkie research might be better directed
toward use of Twinkie material as heat shielding, a
role for which it seems eminently suited.

   Eric
