How many J size PS printers are there ?
High end plotters are preferred in many instances over
PS printers. Specialized rastering software is used to
gain efficient plot times ... since many high end plotters
are raster based these days... pen plotters seem to have
gone the way of the 8 inch floppy and vinyl.
I've seen B size PS printers ... just do not remember
anything larger ... Of course I have not paid attention
to plotter market in 10 years ...
In electronic CAD (boards and chips) we tend to use
A or B size plots for everything but I have seen
schematics for cabling systems on a J size.
Of course actual boards are plotted at real size.
Chip layouts have been plotted at 8 ft by 10 ft... multiple
sheets with alignment marks truly impressive wall hanging.
