Well, I feel a little better about thinking that exact same thought,
knowing I'm not the only one.

We now have an
existence proof that a large semi-RLV can have a worst case reentry,
complete with total destruction of the vehicle and crew, without
injuring anyone on the ground.
Interesting that the major hazard to people on the ground appears to be OMS propellants. Yet another data point in favor of non-toxics.
