Florian, Today I tried your -r1814 snapshot to see if the updated e100 driver would no longer hang when ethercat was stopped (or restarted). Attached are the syslog entries before attempting ethercat restart. Syslog updated with the following lines (that weren't in the log after restarting from the hang):
ec_e100 cleaning up module... EtherCAT: Master thread exited EtherCAT: Master 0 releasing main device 00:0E:0C:59:85:FA ec_e100 module cleaned up EtherCAT: Master module cleaned up And then a solid hang. I can probably work around this, given that in normal testing or use I will not have a reason to stop or restart the ethercat master; my plan for evaluating EtherCAT and hardware involves starting with generated code from Etherlab, which is of more concern at the moment, so I'm hoping Richard will have something about the kernel-cflag.c make issue.
