Hi Dusty, I see that your system is using dash as the standard shell instead of the usual (ba)sh. The echo builtin of dash does not accept -e as a switch like bash does, and that is why you get a stray -e in kernel-cflags.c.
I will remove this non-portable switch in future releases.
