Yes, unix is case sensitive.  The program is XF86Setup.  you can also look for 
Xconfigurator.

>From that error message, it looks like there are two cases:
1) the X server is running, and you're trying to start it again from the console
or
2) there is a file or directory in /tmp called .X0-lock.

try 'rm -rf /tmp/.X0-lock' and then try starting X.  After this, if it doesn't work, 
your error message may change.
