CDPD (cellular digital packet data) is now available in Eugene. Flat rate
with a static IP is ~$60/month. CDPD works with a PCMCIA radio-modem in
your laptop or wearable to give you up to 19,200 BPS IP
connection. goamerica.com and att are two providers.

If your are moving around alot, about 80% of I5 is covered by CDPD now,
with big holes between Eugene and Medford/Ashland and between
Medford/Ashland and Redding (where the mountains are). Check the coverage
