You should always stick to your principle, Justin, at least until you find
out that they are flawed. In which case you should upgrade them. <smile>

I work to build the kind of world that I want to live in, not to make money.
Whores work for money. I believe that love can only be given away freely not
because you expect to gain something from it. All work is giving of your life
to others; either you do it in love or out of greed. Slaves do it out of fear.

My business is about maximizing people's creativity. Sometimes I make money
doing this, but usually I don't. I picked the name Graphic because I thought
it sounded cool. The association you have made is all too common so I am
thinking of changing it; Zygote, Enzyme, and Synapz are three of the names
I am considering (I like the idea of have Y and Z in my name. Goes with X.)

No to both questions. But everyone has a moral/ethical obligation to use
their wealth/knowledge/ability to advance civilization and help their
fellow human beings achieve real personal freedom from fear/want/ignorance.
Evil Nazi scumbags close their eyes and hearts to the suffering of their
fellow human beings, they disregard the spiritual connection we all share.
The highest socio-ethical system is one based on universal family love.

My suggestion to him was that we Linux users could provide a list of parts
that were know to be Linux compatible, provide tech support on a fee basis,
and provide free information about open source /free software as an outreach
to the his customer base. My idea was to try to funnel more business his way
by making PC Parts Express a known source for Linux compatible hardware and
information resources in the community. (I like the business and buy most of
my parts there.) His only *cost* would have been to allow people like me/us
access to a small area of his store (the same way bakeries stock shelves at
Safeway) and the potential *gain* would have been more satisfied customers
evangelizing the wonderful service he was providing. This does not even take
into account the greater benefit to society which free/open-source software
and patent-free open hardware standards will eventually create. Again, short
sighted greed/fear/selfishness holds back long term creativity/love/sharing.
