Funny, I was just thinking earlier about how it's so neat to be on a 
mailing list with a mix of other geeks, open-source zealots, and 
technical professionals.  The simple fact that we are NOT well-defined 
(as per the flamebait in my previous sentence) is empowering to me.  I 
consider it most like a microcosm of slashdot users, except that we are 
also bound to our physical local, on this planet err I mean here atop 
the Willamette Valley.  Thanks, all; I have just subscribed to the 
activism list below and am cc'ing this thread there -- this sort of 
(less-immediately-practical, shall I say) banter belongs there moreso...
