Oh Mr. Cohn said his piece. My counterpoint: Linux is Linux, BSD is BSD, GPL is GPL and "Globalization" is a liberal farce. When I got into Linux 6 years ago, there was NO support of any kind locally to speak of. Ruscheinski and a few others were dabbling with it with their fledgling ISP's and development support projects (mostly win32). I asked around a few users and there was a very fragmented group forming. Well, whatever happened to those folks is unknown to me. I started this group to support and promote Linux, not BSD, GPL or Liberal Left Wing Ideology. As I said before, those things certainly do have a place in this group. However, I feel they have overshawdowed the ORIGINAL basis and purpose of the group You want BSD? Join or form a BSD group. You want to promote YOUR views on Globalization? Get the heck out of here, this isn't YOUR personal political forum, it's OUR support group. Threaten my connection? You're just another overly opinionated pseudo-intellectual punk with a chip on his shoulder and no clues about the "real world". Go ahead. I really could care less. Please drop me from all these lists and kiss my ass. You can have your soapbox back as I don't much want to have anything more to do with a group who has so left ideals of support and help thy neighbour behind, threatens one's connectivity for personal pleasure, derides an honest e-mail mistake or two and spends more time bitching about Saudia censorship and Nuclear power than kernel debugging.
