SuSE has scripted setups, curses (YaST) and quite a few X setups like YaST2, SAX and some slick KDE tools optimised for their distributions. There isn't a thing you can't do with SuSE that you can with RH. Have you tried SAX for the video setup? If not, try tossing YaST2 in favor of YaST, get things, including kdm, gdm or xdm going with the generic SVGA driver, then tweak to excellence with SAX for your NVIDIA stuff. Not really a good idea, unless you're really good, as SuSE and RH use totally different directories, permissions and security. Especially true trying to install the other's .rpms and sources, like apache configs, etc. Better to not use SuSE rpm scripts on RH & vice-versa.
