Another  thing I tried to do in the control panel was tell it to start me in 
TEXT mode. It managed to NOT start KDM but still started XDM. Damn it!

In other words, KDM was the default from the install, I told it to start me 
in TEXT mode so IT decided XDM would be good for me. The BSD guy understands 
me. I feel good. :-) Thanks Jacob. Thanks for the suggestions from Bob and 
Jacob as well. When time permits I'll try your ideas.

Other than that, no need to heat this up so turn the burners off and I'll 
type at y'all later.
