This is what I did once. I wrote some perl scripts to insert the MP3 info into a mysql database, then wrote some php and perl scripts to select songs out of the database for a playlist and play them on that machine. (It was actually pretty slick, IMHO. You could do all kinds of searches and play samples, save and edit playlists, and randomizers and whatnot.) I just plugged the audio out from the sound card into a Y adapter and ran the wires to the speakers in my room and to the stereo downstairs. -- <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
