I lost the argument that renamed the user group (Well, it felt
that way to me at the time). I don't see how adding commas to the formal,
expanded name will help.
The Eugene Unix, GNU's not unix, and Linux User Group?
I'm with Kahli, let Rob, Seth and whoever get on with updating the
site as they find needful, keep the name as is, those of us wanting to
distinguish between GNU/Linux the operating system and Linux the kernel
may, and those of us who follow our distributions' lead and call the whole
shebang Linux can as well.
And the *BSD types can continue to laugh themselves silly about
the whole hoo-haw because after all, they don't use Unix (TM), the court
in its wisdom and majesty said so, so what are they doing making such
useful, even valuable contributions to a Unix list?
