Is it not a full install CD? Did they remove the
"dosutils" folder they used to put on the disc? It was
that you could start with a boot floppy (DOS based)
with CDrom support and change over to the "dosutils"
folder on the CD and run "loadlin".
Yeah, the text on the cover says to go to redhat.com to get instructions for boot floppies, but the boot image on the CDs is actually a 2.88MB floppy image, which apparently causes all kinds of problems for folks w/ old hardware - a moot point since RH8.0 needs quite a bit of hardware to make it useable, even as console-only. Better to use slack or similar for turning old 486s into routers & firewalls.
