I work with 5 Cisco certified network technicians. Guess who they come to when they
need something done.

It is also interesting to note that I am the only "tech" person in our office who does
not have any Cisco certs. When we recently moved our entire network to a different
network block and installed a Cisco 7206 core router to replace our old 7500 core
router, none of them were involved. I was. In fact, I am the one who does most of
our router configuration for our clients as well. One of our Certified techs will
never, no matter how many times I explain it, understand the difference between what
the DNS server does and what the web servers do. Another will never understand when
to use a cross-over cable as opposed to straight-through.

Certs mean jack shit.

Anyone with a book, a couple hundred bucks, and some time can have a cert.

If this guy thinks you can be owned just by somebody knowing your IP, ask him to show
you how.
It sounds to me like this guy is talking out of his ass.
