I'm really interested in freevo, I just haven't had time to start messing with it.
I'm hoping freevo doesn't need /dev/video. If it does, it won't work either.

This system is a production machine so I have to be carefull, but I do have a little
room to play.

messing with my setup and trying new programs, where I had to specify /dev/video0
b/c it expected /dev/video (with no '0'), I think it expected /dev/video to be a
symlink, but it is a directory on my system (holding the tuner's audio device
afaik). In terms of trying other software, I'm guessig you don't want to run
something like freevo or mythtv on this system?
