Well, if I had a PPC machine I would. It looks like someone at OSU is
behind this:
http://gentoo.oregonstate.edu/releases/ppc/livecd/1.4_rc7/
http://www.gentoo.org/images/shots/ppc-livecd/snapshot1.jpg
and obligatory source of continued bbbanter:
http://apple.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=03/06/03/1625222&mode=thread&tid=106&tid=185

So... OS X users out there: what advantage would you see to running
pure OS X instead of the very-efficient OS X in-a-window via Mac on
Linux as shown in the screenshot linked above? It strikes me that it
would be annoying to not have the dock on the bottom of the screen;
maybe the OS X window session can be fullscreened on one of the virtual
desktops?? Nice work!

regards,

  BB

PS - I guess all the redhat support is too busy with their loyal
corporate backers to help on the mailing list... no really, I do think
it is good to try many distro's. I haven't tried enough, myself.
Is anyone booting four or more OSes on one machine?

| I would say that Gentoo is for experts only at this point. (Maybe for
| a long time.) Only install Gentoo if you understand another distro or
| two inside and out. I second Kent's suggestion about starting from

| By the way, Brian, you asked for a second opinion, so I also say
| there's nothing wrong with running ppp (what kppp uses) as root. It
| has to be that way. Other distributions run it as root too, whether
| or not they make you type your root password.
