One thing that has slowed Linux's adoption in the G9 countries is that it's hard to buy a box with Linux preinstalled, thus limiting Linux to people and organizations who care enough and are savvy enough to install a new OS themselves. With the PIC, Windows will carry that burden instead. I doubt that more than, say, 20% of PICs will be reloaded with pirated Windows -- it's just too much bother for most people, wherever they live. > PS: Don't you mean Steve's bottom line?
