Power supply, the inverter(s), heatsinks...

Those inverters use a lot of power and they get hot.  The average 20" or
larger LCD is about 2" thick to account for the at least two inverters and
heat dissipation.

My 20" ACD can be carried in one arm, but it's not featherweight.  My 17"
is a bit more unweildy because it has a weighted base so it can be rotated
(not that I have software for this on any of my machines..)
