The thing with FM transmitters is they basically suck.
Station interference is a constant PITA, and you end up constantly
tuning the transmitter to find a station that is clear.
This could be a rather big problem on the products you are considering,
since they appear to only transmit on 87.9.
Often the tuning itself is a fiddly problem with turn wheels and buttons
that are hard to use at 60mph. The problem is compounded by the location
of the radio antenna on most cars.

It doesn't have charging or allow you to tune the station via iPod, but
it does have the two things that FM transmission requires - a big
antenna and power.
It's bit more than most of the plastic gadgets you find in the stores,
but it also won't end up stuck in the glove box because it doesn't work.
As a bonus, it's a very easy hack to up the output past allowable FCC
specs, which allows you to broadcast to the cars next to you and beside you.
There is a car kit available, but all the appropriate parts are
available cheaper at Radio Shack.
