Desktop. Working on the kiosk project I mentioned a bit ago. Latest box is my old Shuttle with SiS graphics and a cheap 17" LCD. The only way to even get the install to go was text mode. I tried VESA and lower resolutions with the same failure every time. Then after the actual install it detected all the hardware and was supposed to just boot to the desktop. Nope, suckered again!
Needless to say I had Ubuntu 6.06 installed before the night was over and will spend the week tweaking it. All I can say is it didn't have a hiccup on the install and never went out of sync on the LCD.
