Just out of curiousity, how does AVG size up against Clam AV?

I don't get why that was addressed towards me!? I always tell
people to update their AV and do security updates from MS but
avoid IE7 for now. Also tell them to use Firefox and/or
Thunderbird depending upon their problems. I advocate safety and
security so I don't have to fix the same fsck'ing problems day
in and day out. Cleaning up malware and viruses is not on the
list of things I enjoy doing. It just comes with the job. At the
same time, having to clean off bloated AV software the brings
machines to a crawl is also time consuming. NIS 04 through 06
have been horrible products. People have had issues with every
commercial and/or free solution available. All of the nightmares
I face everyday with crappy hardware or a crappy operating
system that requires constant reinstalling and calling folks on
the other side of the world to activate is maddening. Many
comment that I probably don't want to use a computer when I get
home to which I reply "I just don't use Windows". They are
welcome to gather any information from there that they please.
On the flip side, I don't advocate Macs to these people either.
Just safety.

</eh?>
