Intel has a thing called Viiv. From Intel's web site, I can learn
that it'll bring me more friends, increase my confidence, and whiten
my teeth, but I can't get any clue as to what it actually is.

Can anyone tell me what Viiv *is*? And, more importantly, is it
something that penguins can use, or is it just for the Borg?

For example, here are two nearly identical motherboards. One
"Supports Intel Viiv Technology" and the other doesn't. What does
that mean?

My first guess would be 64-bit support. (In Roman numerals vi=6 and iv = 4.) But that is just a guess.
