I'm new to Linux first of all and trying to catch up on a loss of time
with them, relearning basically everything after my stint in the Marines. So
don't spare my feelings and sorry if this is a dumb question for some of you
but here goes...
I am having trouble trying to read some of the messages from members on
the mailing list over the last few months. The most recent posts I couldn't
read were from [email protected] and laprice@gmail. These messages are sent
in plain text utf-8.
Gmail wont decode the characters properly... It doesn't matter if I use
the windows computer or my Linux computer so I'm thinking it has to be a
gmail issue. "laprice" posts from gmail so I'm even more confused. I've
poked around online for some information but I keep coming up short for a
lead to an solution. Is this an issue that the sender of the email can fix
and more importantly how can I as the receiver of the email resolve this if
it is possible?
Thanks for any input you can give in advance
Joshua C.
