Interesting, there's been no mention of this at any of the recent Python User
Group meet-ups. Is PyUGAT (http://pyug.at/) even involved in this at all?

Would also be interesting to know which venues you found that you thought were
suitable for a conference like this! Viennese local here, fwiw.
