To do this, I'd have to:
- purchase it in CA, paying any local taxes
- satisfy the purchase requirements (including the
installation of a charger I believe)
- pay for shipping to New Zealand
- pay import duty
- pay 15% GST on the total so far
- convert it from left-hand drive to right-hand drive
- deal with the silly charger issue
And then I'd be driving a Rav4 which I have always thought of
as a useless vehicle, neither one thing nor the other, and has
a terrible safety record (apparently they roll very easily).
