I towed my homebuilt EV from New York to Michigan. At first, I had
problems with it not wanting to track when turning, and oscillations
when going straight. It turned out to be caused by the front end
alignment. Being front-wheel-drive, it had very little caster so it
didn't fight you when steering (especially under power). The lack of
caster meant the front wheels didn't want to follow the tow vehicle. The
solution was to increase the front end caster.
