Why? People are entitled to express their opinions. And I don't think it's off-topic. Why shouldn't people who drive EVs comment negatively about having a country run by oil barons, who seem to be actively supporting ICE manufacturers in suppressing California's pro-ev clean air rules, for example. Personally I don't like SUVs - maybe your views differ. Maybe most of these discussions are off-topic, but it's frustrating if you like to drive small, efficient electric cars, and are increasingly likely to be the loser in any argument with one of these truck-size, energy wasting vehicles.
