That's fine, I don't want to see the list clogged up with political or religeous discussions either, but there have been several interesting discussions (and EVLN posts) recently, which are of direct relevance to EVs and their users, but overlap with emotive or political issues as well. I don't know the list charter off the top of my head, but I don't think such posts are (or should be) considered off-topic. It is not "mostly SUV bashing" by any measure, and I wouldn't want it to become so.
