Thanks Peter for your comments. But I thought the EV community wanted to be found?
Some may know I get a lot of email (I am pretty visible). Some of those people are long time EV List lurkers that now want to get into an EV. If it were for the ability to lurk, we would not of had some people know of EVs and the EV information to be had by the friendly and helpful EV List members. The reason I started the EV List archive, if the List members will remember, the crest archive can go running nicely, and then suddenly stop. The crest archive can also go in hits and fits (unreliable). The end of September 02 was lost on the Crest site: while the yahoo archive continued to get messages, the crest archive just plain stopped. An archive is only as good as it's availablity. Currently an archive is a usable tool for some EV List members and lurkers. They can read remotely, if they are away form their own personal pop email account (read at work). By the way, the group description does not point people to the Crest archive, it states that there is a mirror. The crest archive does not state that there is a mirror. But before I could bump everyone off the yahoo EV List archive, and close the group, I would need more than 'one' person to state their displeasure. So, perhaps you could take your complaints to the SJSU EV List members and get the support you need (?). Let me know. -Bruce -[Peter sez: ] My major complaint about Yahoo is it makes us much more visible to the non-EV community. And as I said, the Yahoo archive points them to the crest archive. ===== ' ____ ~/__|o\__ '@----- @'---(= . http://geocities.com/brucedp/ . EV List Editor & RE newswires .
