Um, 'cause it takes more guys a longer time (and if it involves concrete
barricades, a crane operator making lots more an hour) to place the
barricade and remove it later? And a longer interruption in traffic
causes even more irate taxpayers/motorists?

Apologies to the list - this will be my last post on this topic, and
with luck we can return to electric vehicles' discussion soon.
