I think they are communicating it very clearly on the CalBattery
website:
"CalBattery's current plans are to scale up the process equipment for
commercial production and then to offer this GEN3 battery anode material
in commercial production in the US by 2014."

So that is clear and logical if a process has just left the lab with
good results for the first time that they now are planning for how to
put the darn thing into production. Count on a year slip for unforeseen
problems and if they can solve all issues, their batteries might be
bought by 2015.
That is only 2 years from now, to me a very exciting development from a
company that has been in battery business (CALB that is) for some time.
We will see.

All very nice... looking.  But you still can't *buy* any, can you? It's
in the same heap as every 'concept car' that I come across.   I'll get
interested when I see a price with shipping costs.  Sorry to be so
