Yesterday afternoon, I was killing time preparing my spring garden while I
had to wait for my 6A charger breath life back into the starter battery. The
cheesy car-alarm this used-ice came with keeps draining the battery. I had a
12V Soniel charger under the hood, but it died right after the warranty
period. And if If I do not drive the ice at least once a week the battery
SOC is too low.

On two different SF local FM radio stations (KSAN & KCBS) I heard a Nissan
Leaf EV ad. These were quick, to the point = sweet. This is one of the first
steps to give credibility to the product and help inform the public these
vehicles are available.

But I did find that at the end of the radio ad, they mentioned the URL to
look it up the Leaf EV up on the web. I found the URL they mentioned hard to
remember, was it:

shop nissan (dot) com ?
shopnissan.com

buy nissan (dot) com ?
buynissan.com

Those two domains are not Nissan's and I would be leery of going to a
non-Nissan domain for fear of malware or visual-spam.

After some peeking and poking on the web (something I am good at, but most
consumers would not spend the time), I think I may have found what was said:

choose nissan (dot) com
choosenissan.com

I fear the info saturated consumer will lead to the same
hard-to-remember/confusion I had and that will reduce Leaf EV sales. With
the new U.S. made Leaf EV production just now kicking in, and the SF area
being a hot bed of EV sales, that is not good for Nissan sales. I hope
Nissan considers something easier, like mentioning Nissan's U.S. website URL

nissanusa (dot) com

or make an Electric section off that domain

electric (dot) nissanusa (dot) com

I was quite pleased that those radio ads are now out there. So much so, I
sent an email to both stations thanking them for running them.
