David is perfectly correct, I checked my version, Jan2010 and all the schematic drawings that show the switch show it in a closed position.
I thought that the drawing on the wiki came from the standard and I didn't actually verify it. Upon checking with the wiki, it seems that the drawing was uploaded by "DavideAndrea. Original uploader was DavideAndrea at en.wikipedia" Hopefully he will correct it.
