<When I went searching the automotive stores for a battery cable, the
<cable was too undersized for EV needs (I will assume your cables are
<made using 00 gauge the same as mine were). The ones in the store were
<like 4 gauge. I bought a couple of the automotive clamps and bought four
<of the pre-made cables for the wiring. I bound four of the cables
<clamped down on each end of the automotive clamps I had bought. This
<arrangement was still half the amount of copper I really needed, but it
<worked, only I had to drive conservatively so the wires did not get too
<warm.

<But that was a short term solution, until I could make a proper 00 gauge
<cable replacement.

I ended up going to a NAPA auto parts in Brea, CA who were willing to
physically make me a 12" 00 gauge cable that was a bit expensive at 36
bucks, but appears to fit nicely.

The new battery cable did not solve my controller problem! m(_ _)m
i will investigate welding shops for future reference.

Cheers,
Scott
