Hmm. My mistake.

But someone said recently that Tesla is getting their pack cost down to
$100/kwh.  So, even if Nissan claims a $10K cost, there might eventually be
much cheaper aftermarket packs for, say, $3K-$5K.  Possible?

You don't have it right. That was the price for a replacement Prius
pack. I would guess a Leaf pack is more like $10-15k.
