I expect that I am OT so I will try to end this in that regard. For
the purist, the EVer, safety and to compare and draw attention to the
EV, I am presently restoring an identical 1928 Sport Coupe to
original(ICE). The only difference is it will have a 5 speed(S10)
manual transmission so it can easily and safely exceed 50 MPH. I
expect the two together as "Then" and "Now" will get some attention
and start folks thinking about EVS.
Perhaps to an antique purist, your mods would not be welcome, but I
think for the DIY conversion folk, any mods for safety are wise.
I have seen Ford Model A and T's in caravans on the highway (probably as
part of a club or group). Driving them in the right lane at 50 mph was
likely their limit (for both safety and ice/drive-train design).
If one takes a card from John Wayland's recent EV2 conversion

converters have to make the mods that are needed, for whatever their
reason (your case safety, his case, one of them was to keep GM lawyers
off his back).

Yes, I will try and put the Model A on the EV album. To be fair, the
look is Model A but the frame and running gear are 2001 S10 for safety
and to carry the weight. It weighs 3700 lbs (120V) as compared to my
2000 S10 4500 lb weight(144V).
