If you can get a scope you may be able to tell, even then it can be hard to
catch transient occurrences...
Important: The E-meter and Link-10 serial output is *NOT* isolated from
the pack! The negative of the serial output is connected straight to
pack negative! If you connect your laptop or scope directly to this
output, there is a serious shock hazard, and high risk to DESTROY something!
For an example of an optically isolated output for these meters, see my
Companion at http://www.sunrise-ev.com/LeesEVs.htm#companion. You can
get it assembled, as a parts kit, just a bare board, or build it all
yourself from the circuit.
