Absolutely. A lot of conversions were built with a similar Prestolite motor and Curtis or PMC controller 20 to 30 years ago. Many were 96v to 108v, and some 120v (mostly with 12v floor sweeper batteries). They were almost universally done on subcompact or compact cars (Rabbits, Escorts, Civics). That hardware produced a quite capable (though hardly barnstorming) 3000lb commuter EV, but 5000lb? No way.
