Yes. That is probably the main reason I bothered to post it (and record it in 
the first place).  Anyone else with an Ion (or i-Miev, non-US spec at least) 
could use the data as a yard stick to see if they would be better off buying a 
LEAF or something else entirely.

But it is also just interesting (to me at least) seeing how the numbers work 
WRT to the car and its engineering.

One thing I didn't mention in my original post is the fact that using my OVMS 
(open vehicle monitoring system - plugs into the OBDII (CAN bus) port and 
relays data via GSM to a server which can then be accessed via a smart phone 
app) the max temperature of the motor (which is water cooled) was 43 degrees C, 
having been at 65 mph for a good 20 minutes.  Battery seems a lot more 
temperature stable (air cooled, forced while charging but not sure about when 
driving....?) - never seen it over 33C... but it is still winter, here.

It'd be interesting to fit the CaniOn app to the OBD port, too, which gives 
much more detailed data including individual battery temps and motor power.  
Not enough time in the day.
