You are talking about putting in 140% more battery pack to get to 60kWh At the very least, you would have to buy a car with 140% more space in it for batteries than it needs most of the time, and the effects on handling can't be negligible. If it was trunk space, then when making a long trip you would reduce your carrying capacity significantly. No car designer would look at this as "simply."
