Could also use the solder method. I just happen to have some Tinning Butter made by Eastwood.com on my bench in front of me. It is use for tinning metals for applying lead to metals or I use it to build up some battery posts.
Very time consuming if you have a lot of links like I am planning on my next battery pack which will be over 240 links to do. The silver epoxy paint which needs no primer, works very good which I have use before. Tape about 25 or more bars together and either spray the ends or dip them. Cold galvanize paints works good which we are required to use on electrical conduits install outside that may have be scratch off while being install.
