According to the Houston Fire Department, it happened around 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday at a home in the 5000 block of Bayou Vista near Bolivia. Luckily, the flames stayed in the garage but completely destroyed the family's Chevy Volt. The owner says they had just bought a new charger. Fire investigators believe that's what sparked the fire. However, they will have to wait until the investigation is complete before they know for sure.
