Hi Corbin, This is a brand new AVCON unit - only with respectable shelf life ;-) Even if it would break, Lee will then have all the parts to build one of the open source EVSE and in the mean time he has a working EVSE for about the price of the individual components (enclosure, contactor, cable, plug, and so on) Its contactor looks high quality and since it is never switched under load, it probably has the usual 10k or 1 mio cycle life.
