No, I'm not. The energy is supplied by an outside source and is energy that 
would otherwise be wasted. Not "free" energy as in a "perpetuum mobile 
machine". But no point in bothering with details when summarily dismissing new 
ideas and approaches.

But obviously not reuse of otherwise wasted energy. 

We're talking about a grossly polluting mode of transportation that MAYBE gets 
30% energy utilization. And here is a possible approach that might get it up to 
what... 31%? Only real numbers will tell but if you're content enough with the 
less than 30% to dismiss potential new approaches... 

I just saw a report on how much millennials are going to pay for cleaning up 
this mess we've created. Make their exorbitant cost of college pale in 
comparison. Almost anything seems like a viable option at this point in 
comparison to doing nothing.
